About the Job

This is a key role within the commercial finance function, providing critical financial insight and strategic analysis across core business areas. You will partner closely with sales, procurement, and operational teams to evaluate performance, monitor costs and margins, and support the commercial decision-making process.

Duties will include:

  • Acting as a strategic partner to commercial, sales, and procurement teams, providing data-led insights to drive performance
  • Analysing cost of goods sold (COGS), evaluating margins across products, sites, and customers
  • Reviewing sales performance and supporting accurate forecasting and budgeting processes
  • Managing stock reporting and valuation, ensuring robust costing and accurate consumption data
  • Supporting bids and tenders through detailed financial modelling and pricing evaluations
  • Comparing initial bid margins with actual results to monitor financial success and efficiency
  • Assisting in labour, opex, and capital overhead recovery on contracts
  • Producing high-quality reports and KPIs with clear narrative for stakeholders
  • Maintaining financial models for forecasting and strategic planning
  • Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal governance policies

About the Successful Applicant

You will be a qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA or ACA) or nearing completion, with at least 3 years’ experience in a commercial finance, FP&A, or business partnering role. Ideally, you’ll bring experience from FMCG, logistics, catering or manufacturing sectors, with strong Excel modelling skills, commercial acumen, and the ability to translate complex data into clear insights. Strong stakeholder management and a proactive, collaborative mindset are essential.
