Job Overview
This is excellent role with the opportunity to become a multi-modal operator dealing with worldwide events. Any experience of live events would be very advantageous. but this could also be a chance for someone with general’ freight forwarding ops’ knowledge and a huge passion for music/live events, either in imports or exports who is looking to move into the exciting world of event logistics. Further training would be given wherever needed,
Key Responsibilities
• Responsible for quotes, both airfreight and ocean freight, imports and exports, including cross trade shipments.
•Preparing and processing export documentation including MAWB, HAWB and security documents.
•Import and export customs clearances under ATA carnet, temporary imports and exports.
•On occasion, attending site to monitor unload/load of ocean containers/trucks for events.
•Managing post flights, ensuring cargo arrives as booked.
•Daily billing on import and export files.
•Liaising with key clients daily and managing their expectations.
Essential & desirable skills, qualifications, and experience
•At least 5 years’ experience working in freight forwarding operations.
•Customs knowledge essential •Multi model experience highly - desirable
•Ability to work independently and successfully prioritise a busy workload.
•Five-year work history required with no employment gaps.
•Clear DBS required.
•Experience using Boxtop and salesforce - desirable.
Hours are Monday to Friday with a weekend cover rota.
