Reed Accountancy is seeking an Assistant Accountant for a Huddersfield-based business with an immediate start available.
This permanent position requires candidates to have strong experience in an all-around accounts role and an AAT Level 4 or part-qualified ACCA/CIMA.
The role involves end-to-end sales and purchase ledger management, payroll processing using Sage, VAT returns, and assisting with monthly management accounts.
Candidates should be ambitious and eager to progress to a Finance Manager level in the future, with strong Excel and accounting system skills.
The position offers a competitive salary and benefits including 24 days annual leave, early finish Fridays, company pension, and health care after 3 months.

Reed Accountancy is delighted to be partnering exclusively with a Huddersfield-based business to recruit an Assistant Accountant. This is a permanent vacancy with immediate start available. This is a hands-on and varied role suited to someone who is looking to progress and grow into a more senior role overtime.

Duties and Responsibilities:

End to end sales and purchase ledger management
Process monthly and weekly payroll using Sage
Liaise with HR and production
Support VAT returns and liaise with external accountants
Assist with monthly management accounts (journals, accruals, reconciliations)
Job costing, WIP etc
Collaborate with internal departments

You will need to demonstrate:

Strong experience in all-around accounts role
AAT Level 4 or part-qualified ACCA/CIMA
Strong excel and accounting system skills (Sage experience)
Ambitious, eager to progress to Finance Manager level in the future
