As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking a skilled Temporary Works Coordinator to join our team and play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless execution of temporary works across our construction sites.

Role Overview: As the Temporary Works Coordinator, you will be responsible for the meticulous coordination of temporary works activities across our construction sites. Acting as the single point of contact for temporary works information, you will ensure that all relevant project stakeholders are informed and aligned. Your primary focus will be on maintaining an up-to-date Master Register of Temporary Works, overseeing the design process, and ensuring compliance with certified standards. Additionally, you will play a key role in facilitating inspections, issuing permits, and verifying the safety and integrity of temporary works structures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate all temporary works activities regardless of the contractor involved.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for providing and receiving temporary works information.
  • Ensure the timely receipt and dissemination of relevant project information.
  • Collaborate with other Temporary Works Coordinators (TWCs) as needed.
  • Identify and document temporary work requirements in the Master Register.
  • Exercise sole authority in permitting the loading and unloading of temporary works.
  • Prepare accurate design briefs in consultation with the project team.
  • Facilitate design checks by competent authorities not involved in the original design.
  • Develop inspection and test plans to verify compliance with certified standards.
  • Conduct post-completion checks to confirm no adverse effects on permanent works.
  • Ensure all necessary certifications are obtained from Temporary Works Designers (TWD) and Temporary Works Design Checkers (TWDC).

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience in a similar role within the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of temporary works processes and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to quality assurance.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and documentation systems.
  • Relevant qualifications in engineering or construction management preferred.
