Motor Vehicle Technician / Vehicle Mechanic / VW Mechanic
Exploria is a high-end vehicle conversion company. Specialising in conversions and upgrades to new and used Volkswagen Transporters and Crafters. Our work ranges from full campervan conversions and custom builds right through to audio upgrades and heater installs.
Based in Brighouse, Exploria has a newly refurbished modern and spacious workshop. We are pleased to offer an excellent opportunity for a highly skilled and experienced vehicle technician to join our hard-working team. Ideally candidates will have gained previous experience working in a dealership or franchise environment, a VW/Audi group background being preferred. This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a long established, market leading company.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Suspension upgrades including installing lowering springs, coil over and air suspension.
- Removal and re-fitting of brake calipers.
- 4 Wheel alignment.
- Tyre fitting and wheels balancing.
- Installation of diesel heaters.
- Fitting of water tanks, leisure batteries and seating brackets for campervan conversions.
- Carrying out diagnostics and fault finding.
- Audio media upgrades.
- Carrying out electrical work as and when required.
- Liaising with customers if required.
Skills and Experience Required
- Previous experience of working in a vehicle workshop environment is essential.
- Proficient in the use of air and power tools.
- Ability to use diagnostic software such as VCDS would be beneficial.
- Applicants must be fully qualified to NVQ level 3 or Equivalent.
- A full UK Driving licence is essential - road tests will be required.
- Fork lift truck training would be an advantage but not essential.
Details
The position will be on a full-time, permanent basis
Working hours are Monday to Thursday 8am - 5pm & Friday 8am - 4pm (paid until 5pm)
No weekend working
Wages are negotiable, depending on experience
