We are currently seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team at a well-established production and distribution company located near Huddersfield town centre.This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated Mechanical Engineer to contribute to our dynamic team and play a key role in our operations.
Salary and Shift:
- 17.84 per hour, inclusive of holiday pay and enhanced rates for overtime
- Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, with occasional Saturday mornings required for overtime
Responsibilities:
- Repairing conveyor systems, production lines, pumps, and hydraulics
- Conducting general maintenance of production and packaging machinery
- Performing planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on machinery
- Ensuring strict adherence to health and safety protocols
The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in a production or manufacturing environment
- Expertise in repairing and maintaining conveyor systems, production lines, and hydraulics
- Strong knowledge of machinery maintenance practices, including PPM and reactive maintenance
- Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues efficiently
- Excellent attention to detail and adherence to health and safety regulations.
