E3 Recruitment are proudly supporting a highly respected, globally operating organisation with the recruitment of a Quality Inspector vacancy on 12 month fixed term contract.
You have the opportunity to apply for a Quality Inspector position with a company that have been established since the late 1800s. Now employing over 1000 people worldwide, this engineering powerhouse supply into a number of high-profile industries including Defence, Power Generation and Oil & Gas.
Based in HUDDERSFIELD, just 10 minutes from the M62, this business is easily commutable from Halifax, Bradford, Leeds, Rochdale, Oldham, Manchester, Wakefield, Barnsley, Rotherham and Sheffield.
Responsibilities of the Quality Inspector:
- Carrying out visual & dimension inspection of machined components, using a variety of measuring tools & instruments (including CMM & Faro Arm)
- Raise, investigate and support with Machining NCRs
- Accurate maintenance & storage of reports, investigations and data
The Quality Inspector will:
- Hold formal qualifications within Mechanical Engineering (Apprenticeship, HNC, HND or similar)
- Have previous experience working in a relevant role, ideally within a heavy engineering environment
Working hours of the Quality Inspector:
The core working hours of this position are detailed below (rotating AM/PM shifts):
- AM Shift: 40 Hours per week - 18% shift allowance
o Monday to Friday 06:30 to 14:30
- PM Shift: 34 Hours per week - 18% shift allowance
o Monday to Thursday 14:30 to 22:00
o Friday: 14:30 to 18:30
In return, the Quality Inspector will receive:
- Basic salary - £36080 - plus 18% shift allowance - £42574
- Holiday Entitlement: 33 Days including public holidays
- Access to on-site canteen & gym
