Our client, an engineering focused manufacturing and service focused business in Huddersfield, seek to appoint a Project Manager to join the projects team. The primary role is to plan, manage and deliver on-going and already won projects according to deadlines and within budget. This includes managing resource, coordinating the efforts of team members, managing third-party contractors/consultants, and providing a single point of contact to the project Customer both internal and external. Project Manager - Role and Responsibilities:
* Directing and managing projects from through delivery. Managing Customers, Sub-Contractors, and Suppliers.
* Identifying and resolving issues and conflicts within the project team lifecycle.
* Support and manage contract cost at completions, maximising margin ensuring cost base is minimised. Manage and control the cost base.
* Prepare and maintain contract risk and opportunity plans/budgets.
* Establish and implement effective project management processes, tools and reporting mechanisms on achievement of the programme and budgets
Project Manager - Skills & Abilities:
* Experience working for an engineering or manufacturing focused company.
* Minimum of three years direct work experience in a project management capacity, including all aspects of on-going project development and execution.
* Experience of providing instruction and direction, across multiple projects at different stages of the engineering cycle.
* Excellence in the use of relevant IT including Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project
