Our client is recruiting for an Electrically biased Manufacturing Engineer to provide technical support and responsibility for the manufacturing process/areas assigned including improvement relating to safety, quality, sustainability and productivity.

Main duties:

  • Managing capital and process development projects in relation to budget, timings and technical knowledge
  • New product implementation any changes within existing products and processes (feasibility studies and liaising with design groups)
  • Working closely with internal departments in particular Quality, Production and Maintenance.
  • Leading and driving continuous improvement activities
  • Process development (design and maintain efficient process, OEE, Lean, PFMEA, Control Plan, Work Instructions)
  • Managing external contractors in production line improvements
  • Supporting the Maintenance team in plant improvement projects

About you:

  • Possess HNC/HND (Electrical bias) and previous solid experience of working within an engineering/technical role in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
    * BEng in Engineering discipline would be desirable however not essential
    * Knowledge of process development and process improvement optimization
    * A positive and self-driven approach
    * Experience of lean manufacturing/continuous improvement activities
    * Ability to effectively lead projects and associated budgets
    * Excellent communication and teamwork skills
    * Competent in Microsoft Office
