Description
As a Management Accountant, reporting into the Finance Director you'll be the go-to person for all things finance. From processing invoices to preparing VAT returns, you'll keep our financial engine running smoothly.
Key responsibilities will include;
- Processing purchase and sales invoices with precision and accuracy
- Conducting bank reconciliations to maintain accurate financial record
- Making ledger adjustments for general journals and Balance Sheet adjustments
- Preparing monthly BACS payments to ensure timely vendor payments
- Preparing quarterly VAT returns and associated reports to ensure compliance
- Managing monthly payroll processes efficiently and accurately
- Ensuring timely preparation of regulatory returns to meet compliance requirements
- Producing monthly management accounts for insightful decision-making
Profile
Successful candidate;
- Ideally, be AAT-qualified or part-qualified (CIMA, ACCA, ACA)
- Previous experience in managing a team
- Ideally, has experience in Sage 50 however not essential
- Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel such as Vlookups or Pivot Tables
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Commercially focused
