My client based in Hull are looking for a Mechanical Instructor due to expansion.

My client is a rapidly expanding Group Training Association (GTA) with training centres in Hull, Stallingborough and Scunthorpe. They provide engineering apprentices and adult skills training for hundreds of companies in Yorkshire and Humberside.

They recruit industry specialists who want to make the career change to delivering training and skills.

They are looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer who feels they have the right skills and attributes to pass on their knowledge and experience to the next generation of engineers. Some Process experience would be desirable but is not essential.

This position is based at their training centre in Hull and entails delivering high quality apprenticeship and commercial training for our client companies.

The successful applicant must have experience in:

  • Mechanical planned and reactive maintenance.
  • Lathe/Milling Machine operation.
  • Safe use of Hand Tools.
  • Hydraulics or Pneumatics.
  • Health & Safety practices and procedures.

A working knowledge of chemical process industry and/or CAD is desirable not essential.

The successful applicant also needs:

  • A minimum of Level 3 Engineering qualification
  • Good interpersonal and computer skills
  • Full Driving licence

Whilst assessor and teaching qualifications are desirable, they are not essential as full support will be given in the development of necessary skills.
