Position Overview: My client are seeking a skilled and experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to join theirteam. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in servicing, maintaining, and installing commercial gas systems, ensuring safety and compliance with industry regulations. We are proud to offer our services to clients nationwide meaning this role will include a lot of travelling.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on commercial gas systems & plumbing systems, including boilers, water heaters, and pipework, to ensure optimal performance and safety.

2. Repairs and Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair gas system issues promptly, minimising downtime for clients. Troubleshoot and resolve complex problems efficiently.

3. Installation and Upgrades: Install, commission, and upgrade commercial gas systems, adhering to manufacturer specifications and relevant codes and standards.

4. Compliance and Safety: Ensure all gas systems comply with current regulations and safety standards. Conduct safety checks, leak tests, and emissions tests as necessary.

5. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all work performed, including service reports, maintenance logs, and equipment manuals.

6. Client Interaction: Communicate effectively with clients to explain service requirements and address any questions or concerns.

7. Emergency Response: respond promptly to reactive emergency service requests, ensuring minimal disruption to clients' operations.

8. Training and Development: Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices. Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.

Qualifications & Experience:

COCN1, ICPN1, CIGA1, CDGA1, TPCP1, TCP1A

  • Proven experience as a Commercial Gas Engineer
  • Knowledge and Experience working on commercial plumbing systems
  • Gas Safe registered and relevant certifications.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial gas systems, equipment, and controls.
  • Proficient in reading technical diagrams and schematics.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to safety and compliance with regulations.
  • Effective communication and customer service skills.
  • Valid driver's license
