Dawsongroup emc is the UK’s leading supplier of self-drive municipal, industrial, and specialist vehicles for contract hire.Due to continued growth, we are recruiting a field-based Vehicle Technician/ Field Service Engineer. As a Field Service Engineer your role will be to maintain repair and respond to issues in the fleet of vehicles in your area.

Position Overview:

The Field Service Engineer will focus on the servicing, maintenance and repair of a full range of municipal sweeper machines, refuse vehicles and gully tankers, you will responsible for:

• Fault diagnosis, repair and routine maintenance of specialist vehicles and other company equipment.
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and complies with retailer, manufacturer, and industry guidelines.
• Keeping up to date with administrative responsibilities ensuring that all routine maintenance or repair work is subject of an accurate and timely written report.
• Evaluating, modifying, and preparing machines for hire at Dawsongroup emc depots and customers locations.
• First Line Repair, Fault Reporting for second line repairs and providing technical advice to third party engineers where required.

To be successful Field Service Engineer will hold:

• A City and Guilds/ONC level 3 qualification or equivalent (Automotive, Mechanical and or Electrical)
• Previous experience working as a Field Service Engineer, Vehicle Technician or Mobile Engineer preferably in (Automotive / Plant / Industrial/ HGV)
• Experience working with hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical circuits, gearboxes or sweeper vehicles.
• Have a great level of communication skills and customer service with the ability to demonstrate the values and ethics of Dawsongroup
• Have a flexible and adaptable approach to your role and be able to work well on your own initiative with minimum supervision. 
• Hold a Full, Clean UK driving licence.
