About the Role:

GSL Education is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant school community in Hull and East Riding. As an integral part of our team, you will play a crucial role in providing personalized support to students with a range of special educational needs.

Responsibilities:

  • As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing one-to-one support and assistance to students with special educational needs.
  • Assisting students with their learning activities, both in the classroom and in one-on-one sessions.
  • Providing emotional support and encouragement to students, fostering a positive learning environment.
  • Collaborating with teachers and Special Educational Needs Coordinator to implement individualized education plans and support strategies.
  • Monitoring student progress and providing feedback to teachers and parents/guardians.

The successful candidate will:

  • Passion for working with children and a desire to make a difference in their lives.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working with individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and colleagues.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting the educational and emotional needs of children with autism.
