EYFS Teaching Assistant needed in Huntingdon

We are working with a fantastic teaching assistant with EYFS experience to work within one of our partner primary schools based close to Huntingdon. This is a full time position which would suit someone who has experience working in an early years setting either within a school or private Nursery

We have also have full time and potentially permanent roles as well as day to day supply positions in a variety of other schools.

The role of a Teaching Assistant is a varied one and is a fantastic opportunity for those who are looking to start their path into an Education Career

With full and part time positions available we are looking for educators from a range of backgrounds. Experience working within a school setting in a similar role would be ideal but other experience working with young people such as as a Sports Coach, Youth Leader, Drama Groups or anything similar could also be suitable.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the teacher in implementing lesson plans
  • Maintain classroom cleanliness and organization
  • Observe students' behavior and develop classroom discipline
  • Create and maintain a safe and healthy learning environment
  • Assess students' skills and progress and submit reports to parents
  • Collaborate with other teachers to help improve children's learning experience
  • Track student progress and submit reports to parents
  • Follow all safety and health codes and requirements of the school district
  • Comply with all policies, procedures, and guidelines established by the school district

Experience

  • Previous experience working with children 3-5 years old preferred (or willing to train)
  • Knowledge of Early Childhood Education best practices preferred (or willing to learn)
  • Working knowledge of the Early Childhood Curriculum preferred (or willing to learn)
  • Basic math skills preferred (or willing to learn)
  • Ability to work well with others
