We are currently looking for an experienced Teaching Assistant to work with children with special educational needs within a supportive school in the Huntingdon area. This is a full-time role.

The Role
Vision for Education is looking to recruit a compassionate and experienced Special Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant Level 2 to support pupils with additional learning needs. You will deliver one-to-one and small-group interventions, assist with routines and behaviour management, support learning under teacher supervision, and promote an inclusive classroom ethos in line with primary curriculum expectations.

Requirements
Only candidates with the required qualification and UK school experience will be considered.

  • NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent qualification/GCSEs) in Teaching Assistance or SEND support

  • Experience supporting children with SEND in a UK school setting

  • Strong behavioural and learning support strategies

  • Excellent communication and empathy skills

  • A nurturing and therapeutic approach to supporting children who exhibit behavioural difficulties
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply

  • Available to work on a full-time basis
