Working on behalf of our successful client, we are seeking an experienced shift manager to join their team. This role will suit a confident and experienced shift manager - ideally from a upvc, timber, aluminum or steel door or windows manufacturer to manage effectively a team of appropriate 25.

Job Summary

This role is responsible for managing the manufacturing production meeting all cost, quality, delivery and safety targets set by the Company, efficiently and consistently.

You will be responsible for driving performance and productivity.

Essential Job Duties:

• Effectively manage shift production to ensure KPI targets and business objectives are met and maintained within production, quality, cost, delivery.

• Provide leadership and direction to all manufacturing staff.

• Review and develop continuous improvement, leading and participating in working parties to involve and engage staff, with an aim to increase efficiency and reduce costs.

• Initiate and implement best practice process and techniques.

• Create innovative solutions to problems and opportunities to increase productivity

• Develop others to support the site talent and succession plan

• Ensure all activities on site are carried out in a safe manner, in line with policies, ensuring that all Health, Safety and Environmental statutory requirements are met

• Work alongside other departments using skills & knowledge to provide support to all teams throughout site.

• To oversee general housekeeping requirements of the manufacturing floor, ensuring high standards of hygiene and tidiness

Skills:

• Good interpersonal, leadership and motivation skills

• Ideally experience working in a upvc, timber, steel or aluminum window and door manufacturing operation

• Good awareness of supply chain

• Excellent communicational skills are required at all levels; both verbally and written

• Must be able to demonstrate good organisational skills

• Ability to think logically and solve problems effectively and efficiently

• Strong leadership presence

• Resilient

• Excellent communicator

• Positive team player

• Self-starter
