Activities Assistant
£11.53 per hour plus company benefits
Part Time Hours - 20 hrs per week to include some weekends
Rivermede Court, a luxury residential and dementia care home is looking for a full time Activities Assistant to work alongside our Activities Co-ordinator. You will need to have a clean driving licence and be over 21 as there may be times you will drive our mini-bus. Training can be provided.
Working very closely with our Activities Co-ordinator, the Activities Assistant role is a hands-on working role with responsibility for encouraging and participating in varied activities with our residents. We are looking for an enthusiastic, happy and compassionate person who enjoys different activities, art, music, singing, dancing and gardening. You will also accompany our residents on days out to various venues.
Main Responsibilities:
- Organise and conduct activities that encourage both social, mental and if appropriate physical stimulation for the residents within the home.
- To help organise fund raising events.
- To help organise special events i.e. Christmas entertainment, Ascot, Royal Occasions etc.
- To encourage residents and team members to participate in the homes activities programme.
- Maintenance of posters and notice boards within the home.
