We have recently had a new opportunity become available for a Conventional Machinist/CNC Turner based in Halesowen. Details are as follows:
Main Duties:
- Turning on large components up to 20m in length to tight tolerances (+/-.05mm).
- Machining quality components in accordance with technical engineering drawings and specifications
- Using overhead crane.
- Reading from technical drawings.
- Deburring components.
- Maintaining machinery.
Requirements:
- The successful candidate must be an experienced conventional turner and CNC turner
- Must be experienced working with Lathes.
- Experience working within tight tolerances.
- Any experience working with Siemens controls would be advantageous but not essential.
- A time served Apprenticeship or technical qualification is desirable
- The successful candidate must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Experience working in a foundry, forging or similar heavy engineering environment is essential.
- Must be proactive and self-motivated with the ability to work well under pressure in a busy machine shop.
Package:
- Salary of £33,183 (£13.65/hour + shift allowance)
- Hours: Basic 38 hours working the following shift pattern:
- Mon-Thur 6am-2pm, Fri 6am-12noon,
- Mon-Thur 2pm-10pm, Fri 12noon-6pm,
- This is a permanent position.
- This position is looking to add to the team as soon as possible.
