Responsibilities of the Forklift Engineer include:

  • Maintain all equipment to an extremely high standard including diagnosing faults, servicing and PDIs on site
  • Carrying out breakdown repairs on material handling equipment
  • Routine services machinery such as forklifts, telehandlers, side loaders and counter balance trucks
  • To manage administration tasks and complete all paperwork accurately and on time including warranty claims

Please note a driving license is required as this will be a split role between on site and field based. 

To be successful for the role of the Forklift Engineer, you will have also worked in positions such as, Engineer, Mechanic, Plant Fitter, Mobile Plant Fitter, Plant Engineer, Forklift Engineer, Field Service Engineer, Material Handling Engineer, Workshop Plant Fitter, Service Fitter, Service Engineer, Service Technician, Heavy Plant Engineer or Plant Mechanic. You must hold a full UK driving license and have previous engineering experience on a range of forklifts or plant equipment.
