Astute's Power team is partnering with a European based Electrical subcontractor to recruit a Mechanical Superintendent for 6 months for its Immingham site.

The Mechanical Superintendent comes with a competitive rate per day.


Key skills

  • Supervise and coordinate mechanical works on-site, including piping, plating, and steel erection.

  • Ensure compliance with all project specifications, engineering drawings, and UK regulatory requirements.

  • Oversee subcontractors and direct hire labour to ensure quality, safety, and schedule adherence.

  • Act as a key figure in implementing CDM duties for contractors, ensuring safe systems of work and proper control of work activities.

  • Lead Permit to Work and Putting People to Work processes in line with UK CDM best practices.

  • Maintain strong interface with HSE team, project management, and quality control personnel.

  • Support planning and sequencing of mechanical activities to minimise delays and conflicts.

  • Participate in risk assessments, toolbox talks, and site audits.

  • Ensure correct materials and equipment are available and stored/used correctly on site.

  • Drive proactive resolution of technical or interface issues during installation phases.
