Assistant Manager required. My client is a well-established firm of Chartered Accountants based in Essex, who pride themselves on providing a full range of services to their clients.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting the efficient operation of the firm, assisting in managing client accounts, overseeing junior staff, and contributing to the growth and success of the practice.

Assistant Manager Position Overview
  • Manage a portfolio of clients
  • Accounts preparation to year end for a variety of clients - sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
  • Support senior management in identifying opportunities for business growth and expansion
  • Stay abreast of relevant laws, regulations, and accounting standards to ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Supervise a team of more junior staff, and assist in training new team members and ensuring that they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in an accountancy practice, and be willing to help out in various departments across the accountancy practice.

Assistant Manager Position Requirements
  • Suitable candidate will be fully ACA/ACCA
  • Previous experience working in an accountancy practice
  • Previous audit experience would be desirable
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and team members
  • Previous people managing experience is essential
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data
