- A wide understanding of the key elements required for working within a busy workshop environment in the role of welding and dimensional inspector to ensure compliance to Drawing and welding procedures, to include but not limited too.
- Perform pre-weld visual fit up and post weld inspections.
- Define re-work or Repairs and document accordingly.
- Have the ability to work within a small Quality team and provide assistance with Junior QA/QC personal, reporting to the QA/QC Manager,
- Assist in the coordination of NDT Activities.
- Provide assistance in documentation and recording/compiling of records.
- The ability to interpret complex engineering drawings.
- Qualified to CSWIP 3.0 Minimum.
- Time served in their profession (e.g. Minimum City and Guilds Fabrication and Welding qualified or equivalent)
- Be familiar with all welding processes.
- Knowledge of non-destructing testing methods
- Familiarity with Structural Materials
- Honesty and Integrity.
- Effective communication / People skills.
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills to support department.
- Highly committed due to longevity of work.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision reporting back to QA/QC Manager.
