I am delighted to be partnering with a prestigious organisation based in Ipswich seeking to recruit a Financial Controller in a diverse and rewarding role which will significantly impact the firm’s trajectory and growth. The role offers an excellent opportunity for an established finance professional to step up and drive the success of strategic goals, in a thriving and supportive team environment.
Key responsibilities will include:
o Management Accounting: Produce timely and accurate management accounts that serve as a trustworthy foundation for financial planning and strategy.
o Management Reporting: Assist in developing a comprehensive management reporting pack to empower the Management Board with the data needed to make informed strategic decisions.
o Audit and Compliance: Manage and streamline the audit process for year-end statutory accounts to ensure compliance and efficiency.
o Team Leadership and Development: Cultivate a high-performing finance team through effective leadership, training, and development strategies.
o Systems and Processes Improvement: Continuously assess and enhance finance systems and processes to support scalable, efficient operations.
The successful candidate will be a fully qualified Accountant (ICAEW/ACCA/CIMA), with a solid background in finance operations work, either with prior experience in a similar level position or alternatively seeking to step up into a Financial Controller position for the first time. Previous experience within a professional services environment would be helpful but is not essential. You should be a superb communicator with a strong grasp of relevant software systems and the ability to re-evaluate existing systems / processes with a view to continuous improvement.
