Reed is proud to have been enlisted by leading employer to recruit a senior finance professional to head up the finance team.

The post of Financial Controller is truly a fantastic opportunity for a qualified person in a financial management role to join a business that is actively flourishing and has realistic, swift organic growth plans over the next three to five years. The overall objective is to lead and develop the finance team and drive the success of the company’s objectives, aiding in moving the business forward, and to enhance the reputation of the finance team throughout the business.

Reporting to the senior business leaders, your principal responsibilities will be –

  • Providing the business with timely and precise management accounts to be used by the business leaders as the fundamental part of their financial planning and strategy.
  • Management reporting: assist in creating accurate, reliable, and detailed reporting pack to enable the senior business leaders to make informed decisions.
  • Manage, streamline, and improve where appropriate the company’s audit for year-end accounting and compliance processes.
  • Develop the calibre of the finance team through effective management, mentoring and training, and progression strategies.
  • Consistently assess and develop the finance systems and processes to support efficient operations.

To be considered you will be a fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with proven success in a finance operation post, improving processes and procedures, either at this level and now seeking a new challenge, or as a Finance Manager looking for your next step to Financial Controller.

As there will be career development as the company grows you will be naturally driven, strategically minded, a successful people manager and also adaptable to assist the team when required. Experience in a fee earning industry such as legal, accounting, consultancy would be an advantage but is not essential.
