Sales Administrator

We are seeking an Inside Sales Administrator to join our client's team based in Ipswich. This role is the key contact point for distributors and area sales managers, coordinating all aspects of customer service. The successful candidate will be responsible for order processing, quotation generation and follow-up, delivery checks, technical enquiries, and order expediting, ensuring world-class customer service to all internal and external customers.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Handle incoming telephone and email enquiries from customers promptly and efficiently.
  • Input customer orders into the system, provide pricing and quotations.
  • Process customer concerns using the company’s Customer Concerns Software.
  • Maintain and manage key customer order books using the system and generated reports.
  • Expedite orders with Supply Chain and Value Streams/Planners.
  • Liaise with shipping departments to arrange airfreight/DHL carrier shipments as needed.
  • Assist the Finance team in resolving outstanding invoices.
  • Utilise CBS to continuously improve processes and efficiency.
  • Ensure new leads on projects or customer requirements are raised or actioned appropriately.
  • Complete ad hoc tasks and provide administrative support as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience in a customer service industry, with a focus on the customer’s journey from quote to delivery.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience in handling customer concerns and developing working relationships within an organisation.
  • Knowledge of lean environments is desirable.
  • Experience with international customers is desirable.
  • Proficiency in software packages such as Excel and Word.
