We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Internal Sales Representative to join our clients team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining strong client relationships and producing quotations for clients. The role will involve working as part of the inside sales team, helping to manage customer accounts, maintaining relationships, and ensuring targets are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond in a timely manner to client's enquiries via email and telephone.
  • Quote for business by negotiating internally with trade departments and externally with customers.
  • Follow up on new business opportunities.
  • Work closely with the outside sales team to support them on a day-to-day basis.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with customers in the allocated sales area or key accounts.
  • Complete sales administrative duties, such as creating and updating contracts using internal IT systems, email management, invoice queries, and unrated shipments.
  • Develop knowledge and understand how to deal with multiple trade lanes and all equipment types.
  • Work well with other internal departments, such as trade, customer services, finance, and operations, by effectively communicating.
  • On occasion join customer meetings to support outside sales and the key account managers.
  • Provide cover when needed for team members and outside sales, e.g., holidays and sickness.

Requirements:

  • Experience of communication with customers either in a sales or customer service role.
  • Good IT skills especially with Microsoft Office (MS Teams, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
  • A good communicator who can talk and negotiate with customers as well as with internal departments.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to manage several tasks, as this role is part of a very busy team with tight deadlines.
  • Able to work as part of team, while still being self-motivated.
  • Have a drive to succeed and enthusiasm for sales.
