Finance Apprentice

We are seeking a dedicated Finance Apprentice to join a driven team. Reporting to the Finance Supervisor, you will manage the company’s purchase ledger and ensure all purchase invoices are recorded accurately. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to gain practical experience while pursuing relevant qualifications in finance.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Accurately input purchase ledger invoices into the accounting system.
  • Verify invoice costs against expected amounts and ensure managerial approval before payment.
  • Reconcile supplier invoices and investigate any discrepancies.
  • Assist in the supplier payment process and support the processing of expense claims and credit card transactions.
  • Perform routine calculations to generate analyses and reports as requested.
  • Provide swift and accurate input of accounting data into the system.
  • Offer ad-hoc support to other areas of the finance team, including sales ledger and nominal postings.
  • Handle general administrative tasks such as filing, photocopying, archiving, and shredding.
  • Assist with office duties, including answering the phone and sorting post.
  • Take on additional duties as required to support the finance team.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
