We are hiring an ambitious and forward-thinking Architectural Technician to join our clients established and growing manufacturing business in Irvine.
This company is a prominent figure in their industry, their state of the art facility will be equipped with the latest manufacturing technology, and they are looking for a Architectural Technician to join their in-house design team. This is an exciting opportunity to join and support the team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead specific Timber Frame design projects while overseeing the Timber Frame and Truss design and estimating team.
- Manage all technical aspects of the business, including both internal and external queries.
- Work closely with the estimating team, contributing technical knowledge and value engineering at the tender stage.
- Collaborate closely with the Design Manager to ensure that all information for manufacture aligns with manufacturing requirements, and that processes are improved where necessary.
- Maintain a high level of communication, including liaising with client design teams and external consultants in relation to live projects.
What we need from you:
- Ideally several years’ experience in Timber or modular build design
- Proficient in AutoCAD software.
- Develop drawings for new and existing projects.
- Ability to read and understand architectural/engineering drawings.
- Familiar with Microsoft Office suite of products.
- Strong analytic/problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment.
In return for your contribution to the company’s performance, an approximate competitive base salary of £35-45k (dep on exp) will be on offer.
