Madisons Recruitment are recruiting for Groundworker Gangs as well as individual Working Foreman, Machine Operators, Groundworkers/Hard Landscapers, and Labourers to start ASAP for a client of ours based in Suffolk. The projects you will be working on will be high-end Commercial projects inclduing lake & pond construction, water features and waterfalls, reservoirs, bespoke designs and sepcial projects. Experience within this field is desireable but not essential.

This is an exciting opportunity for gangs wanting full time, Monday to Friday work with long hours and paid overtime. You will be required to lodge away at times for certain projects which is also covered.

Responsibilities

Undertake all general groundworks activities including
Excavation
Trenching and backfilling
Foundations and footings
Lining of lakes/reservoirs
Drainage installation (foul and storm)
Ducting and services installation
Concrete laying and finishing
Slabbing, kerbing, and edging
Interpret and work from technical drawings and site plans.
Operate plant and machinery where trained and qualified.
Ensure works are carried out to the required quality and health & safety standards.
Communicate effectively with the site management team and other contractors.
Maintain site tidiness and adhere to environmental and safety regulations.
Work as part of a close-knit, reliable team to meet productivity targets and deadlines.

Requirements

Proven experience working in a groundworks gang on Landscaping & Agricultural projects.
At least one team member to hold SSSTS or equivalent leadership qualification.
CSCS card – all operatives must hold valid CSCS cards.
CPCS/NPORS for plant operators (where applicable).
Strong knowledge of site safety practices and ability to work to RAMS.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Reliable transport and flexibility to travel to various sites if required.

Desireable

SSSTs/SMSTs
Confined Spaces, Streetworks (NRSWA), or other specialist groundworks certifications.
First Aid qualification (for gang leader or foreman).
Experience on High-End landscaping projects
NVQ Within relevant field
