Known for delivering elegant, seasonal dishes, the venue is perfect for a talented and driven pastry chef looking to put their stamp on menus and mentor a small team. Working closely with the Exec Chef, youll have autonomy over pastry operations, be encouraged to explore new ideas, and deliver to the high standards expected by a well-travelled, loyal guest base. This is an opportunity for a creative and detail-focused pastry chef to thrive in a kitchen that values calm, consistency, and craft.

Head Pastry Chef Ideal Profile:

  • Confident leading a pastry section in a refined kitchen environment
  • Strong technical skillset across plated desserts, afternoon tea, and baked goods
  • Passionate about fresh produce and classical flavour combinations
  • Comfortable managing a small team and leading by example
  • Calm and composed when under pressure, focused on consistent quality
  • Able to contribute to seasonal menu development and costings

Head Pastry Chef Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all pastry operations including mise en place, service, and prep
  • Design and execute seasonal dessert menus with creative flair
  • Maintain kitchen standards including hygiene, allergen records, and HACCP
  • Train, develop, and support junior chefs within the pastry section
  • Collaborate with senior chefs to align menus with the wider offering
  • Monitor stock, control waste, and work to budgeted margins
