Tailored Recruitment Consultancy are working with a processing dairy that are looking to recruit a Maintenance Engineer for their sites in Grassington and Keighley.

The business currently produces and distributes milk, along with other associated dairy products, throughout Yorkshire and the surrounding area.

Responsibilities

  • To provide electrical and mechanical maintenance to a range of machinery including shrink wrappers, conveyors, generators, chillers and bottling machinery.
  • Reacting to urgent breakdowns reducing machine downtimes to a minimum
  • Electrical repairs to motors, drives, inverters, encoders, boards, wiring, switches, relays, contactors, sensors
  • PLC fault finding and interrogation to trace back faults.
  • Recording and communicating all findings
  • Assisting with projects and the installation of new plant
  • Communicating effectively with the engineering manager
  • Assisting with developing and implementing line improvements, new installations, offline repairs, planned maintenance and any other tasks deemed appropriate by the engineering manager.

The Person

  • Electrical qualification or willing to undertake training to gain qualification
  • Electronics/plc
  • Pneumatics
  • Mechanical engineering
  • Mig and Tig welding
  • A proven track record in an engineering and fault finding role
  • A can-do attitude and a strong work ethic

The position is based around a 5 day week, Mon-Sat coverage with average 48 hours per week. Covering two sites, .
