We're seeking a dedicated Compliance Officer to join our clients team, playing a crucial role in ensuring their products adhere to regulatory requirements.

What’s in it for you:

  • Up to £35,000 depending on experience + 2 bonus’ per year (performance dependent), along with annual salary reviews.

About the company:

Our client is a UK-based award-winning manufacturer and distributor of speciality and commodity chemicals. Their five divisions – Functional, Innovation, Food & Beverage, Metal Surface Treatment and Life Science & Surfactants – serve customers in sectors including agriculture, water treatment, food production, manufacturing and industrial cleaning.

About the role:

  • Providing regulatory prerequisites for our products, including SDS and label documents
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance
  • Preparation of material data safety sheets using company software
  • Managing product labeling and hazard classification
  • Validating products in compliance with national and regional regulations
  • Responding to customer regulatory compliance questions
  • Monitoring legislative developments and informing management
  • Managing priorities to meet customer and business demands
  • Maintaining registered product regulatory compliance

About You:

  • Knowledge of EU chemical global harmonized system CLP
  • 5+ years' experience in SDS production for the chemical industry or equivalent
  • A bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, science, or equivalent (advantageous)
  • Good organizational skills and ability to work under pressure
  • Strong follow-through and ability to manage competing demands
  • Motivation and self-drive to succeed
  • Flexibility to adapt to changes while maintaining quality, accuracy, and timeliness of deliverables
  • Ability to support Sales, Commercial, and Operations Teams
