Temporary ER/People Specialist
  • Location: Warwickshire - on-site office based with scope to move to a hybrid model

We are seeking an experienced ER/People Specialist on a temporary basis to join a Warwickshire based team on a temporary basis, with the potential for permanent employment for the right candidate. This role is crucial for developing and maintaining positive employee relations and fostering a productive and harmonious work environment. The successful candidate will manage employee grievances, ensure compliance with employment laws, and promote fair and consistent application of policies and procedures.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Develop and implement strategies and programs to foster positive relationships and a productive work environment.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations, and provide guidance on employee relations matters.
  • Investigate and resolve employee grievances through thorough and impartial investigations.
  • Mediate discussions between employees and to resolve conflicts and promote effective communication.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to enhance understanding and awareness among employees.
  • Analyse employee relations data and trends to recommend proactive solutions.
  • Conduct exit interviews, analyse feedback, and recommend improvements.
  • Liase and support and legal teams to ensure consistent interpretation and application of HR policies.
  • Monitor employee morale and engagement, proposing initiatives to improve satisfaction.
  • Provide day-to-day HR and administrative support, ensuring smooth operations within the HR department.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an ER/People Specialist or similar role.
  • Ability to work in a stand alone role 
  • In-depth knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong conflict resolution and mediation skills.
  • Ability to conduct thorough investigations, maintaining confidentiality and integrity.
  • CIPD or similar qualification or working towards.
  • Professional certifications in employee relation or mediation would be of benefit but not required
