We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Site Engineer to join our dynamic client for a prestigious highways scheme in Northamptonshire. This is a freelance position, focused on managing and overseeing earthworks and drainage operations. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
路Oversee and manage earthworks and drainage activities on-site.
路Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with project specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards.
路Conduct regular site inspections and provide accurate progress reports.
路Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth workflow.
路Identify and resolve any technical issues that may arise during construction.
路Maintain accurate site records, including progress reports, daily logs, and quality assurance documentation.
路Supervise and mentor junior staff and subcontractors as needed.
路Ensure all health and safety protocols are strictly adhered to on-site.
Requirements:
路Proven experience as a Site Engineer in the construction industry, specifically within highways, earthworks, and drainage projects.
路Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
路Proficiency in using surveying instruments and software.
路Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
路Strong organizational and communication skills.
路Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
路Relevant engineering degree or equivalent qualifications.
路Valid CSCS card
路Previous UK Highways experience.
