Role: Safety Footwear Technician
Location: Kettering
Hours Of Work: Day shift - 37.5 hours a week
Basic Salary: 20,462 - 24,786 per annum.
Additional Benefits: 25-30 days annual leave (Service related,) Life Assurance, Personal Pension Plan and free parking.
Our client based in Kettering, are recruiting for a Safety Footwear Technician to join their team, within the Safety Testing Department on a permanent basis.
Job Responsibilities:
- Operating standard laboratory equipment in accordance with Health and Safety assessments and test methods to conduct routine physical testing.
- Taking responsibility for specific aspects of laboratory and stores maintenance and upkeep.
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the laboratory.
Key Skills Required:
- GCSEs in Maths, English, and Science (NVQ L3).
- Familiarity with MS Word and Excel.
- Ability to work to deadlines, producing accurate, detailed results.
- Strong ability to work both independently and collaboratively within the laboratory team.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and planning skills.
- High level of written and oral communication, with meticulous attention to detail.
- Previous test laboratory experience is advantageous, as is knowledge of footwear construction and materials (full training will be provided).
- Flexibility, tenacity, and a 'can-do attitude' are essential for success in this role.
