Our client based in Kettering, are recruiting for a Safety Footwear Technician to join their team, within the Safety Testing Department on a permanent basis.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Operating standard laboratory equipment in accordance with Health and Safety assessments and test methods to conduct routine physical testing.
  • Taking responsibility for specific aspects of laboratory and stores maintenance and upkeep.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the laboratory.

Key Skills Required:

  • GCSEs in Maths, English, and Science (NVQ L3).
  • Familiarity with MS Word and Excel.
  • Ability to work to deadlines, producing accurate, detailed results.
  • Strong ability to work both independently and collaboratively within the laboratory team.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and planning skills.
  • High level of written and oral communication, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Previous test laboratory experience is advantageous, as is knowledge of footwear construction and materials (full training will be provided).
  • Flexibility, tenacity, and a 'can-do attitude' are essential for success in this role.
