Reed are working with a globally recognised organisation to recruit Transport Support Assistants for their Assisted Discharge Service based out of Kettering General Hospital.

This role is essential in facilitating a smooth transition for patients leaving hospital and returning to their homes. The service operates Monday to Saturday 1000-1830 and full-time hours are available!

Transport Support Assistant

  • Hourly Rate: £11.75/hr
  • Based out of Kettering General Hospital
  • Full-Time

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Liaising with the Discharge Planning team at Kettering General Hospital to coordinate patient discharges.
  • Working alongside a Support Worker to transport the service user from the hospital to a home address.
  • Chaperoning patients during their journey home, ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Assisting patients in unloading from the transport and helping them into their homes.
  • Full training will be provided to ensure the highest standards of care and safety are maintained.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • A compassionate and patient-focused approach.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical ability to assist patients and handle mobility equipment.
  • Full UK driving licence is essential.
  • Enhanced DBS certificate (Reed can assist you with obtaining one if necessary)
