Broster Buchanan are partnered with a household brand name in the manufacturing industry who are looking for a systems focused Solution Architect ideally with some manufacturing/FMCG/retail industry experience to join on a permanent basis for some BAU and some exciting new project work.This role is being offered with a package of up to £74k (up to £61.7k basic + 10% bonus + £6k car allowance cash or lease up to £7.1k) and offers flexible working with Tuesdays and Wednesdays onsite near Burton Latimer and the rest remote.Responsibilities: - Collaborate with the business stakeholders to understand their requirements, developing high-level and low-level detailed solution designs taking into consideration scalability, reliability and security using appropriate technologies, frameworks and tools
- Design integrated solutions to support the automation of processes to increase operational efficiency and better data -driven decision-making
- Identify potential risks and bottlenecks in solution designs and provide mitigating strategies
- Create and maintain architectural documentation including system diagrams, technical specifications and best practice guidelines
- Effectively communicate technical concepts and architecture designs to non-technical stakeholders collaborating with cross-functional teams including business analysts, project managers and IT infrastructure teams
- Strategic leverage of core systems for example PowerPlatform and Boomi within solution designs ensuring economy of scale advantages are realised
Responsibilities: - In-depth knowledge of architectural principles, design patterns and software development methodologies. A systems focused solution architect background is essential for this role, with some infrastructure architecture experience being beneficial.
- The ability to create high-level and low-level technical designs to meet business requirements
- Proficiency working in a hybrid cloud environment architecting on-prem, cloud, and hybrid solutions
- Knowledge of integration platforms preferably Boomi and familiarity with API design and management
- Understanding of development principles and lifecycles relating to business applications and data management systems
- Good understanding of business processes and systems including WMS, ERP & APS
- Any exposure to PowerPlatform, PowerApps or PowerAutomate would be beneficial, as would an FMCG/Retail/Manufacturing background, but isn’t essential
