Job Title: Operations ManagerLocation:  Kettering, UK                             Hours: 37.5 hrs per week                           Salary: Up to £45,000.00Pertemps in Kettering are recruiting for an Operations Manager for our advanced manufacturing client. Our client is known for their innovation, stringent safety standards, and advanced manufacturing capabilities. The company work with cutting-edge technology and require robust health and safety testing to ensure the wellbeing of their workforce and compliance with industry regulations.ResponsibilitiesAs an Operations Manager, you will be required to carry out the following:
  • Provide forecast projections and ensure monthly revenue and gross margin targets are exceeded
  • Sales and customer service procedures are aligned with objectives
  • Drive improvements in manufacturing and develop the supply chain to support business objectives
  • Ensure all operations are carried on in an appropriate and cost-effective manner, utilising all systems to their optimal efficiency
  • Purchase materials and stock management to be efficient and lean
  • Ensure all strategic, tactical and operational objectives are achieved across all areas
  • Maintain and monitor all KPIs
  • Be the voice of the customer at all times and ensure the level of service is at the highest of quality
  • Ensure all activities are compliant to the latest specification and technical documentation
  • Ensure Health and Safety compliance is maintained and training and awareness is up to date
About YouCandidates will be required to have the following:
  • Manufacturing experience is essential
  • Strong leadership and motivational skills
  • Understanding of financial budgets and forecasting
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Demonstratable ability to seamlessly switch between strategic, tactical and operational decision making
  • Continuous improvement mindset
  • Strong organisation and planning skills
  • Experience managing multi-disciplinary teams
  • Health and Safety compliance aware
Desirable:
  • Experience leading change within a manufacturing/engineering environment
  • Experience of MRP systems and Production Planning techniques
  • Supply chain management
