Site Manager - Care Home Refurbishment

Fawkes & Reece are looking for a hands-on Site Manager to take charge of a care home refurbishment in Kettering. The unit specialist treatment and facilities to support people with Mental health issues. The ideal candidate for this position will provide management for planning, and completion of the project to handover. The project starts the first week of June and runs until the end of September. The successful candidate will be fully responsible for driving the project, managing trades, and reporting to the Development Manager.

About the role of Site Manager

You will be managing the day-to-day running of a care home refurbishment project in Kettering. The works will be ongoing from the first week of June through to the end of September. You will be responsible for managing subcontractors, maintaining health & safety, and delivering the job to programme. Reporting to a visiting Contracts Manager. Rate flexible depending on experience, you will take full ownership of the site.

This needs someone confident running refurb projects and able to handle the challenges that come with it.

Responsibilities

Take full control of day-to-day site operations

Coordinate subcontractors and direct labour

Enforce health & safety and site rules at all times

Liaise with the client and attend regular progress meetings

Push the programme and hit key milestones

Maintain quality through all phases of the refurb

Solve problems and keep the job moving

Requirements

SMSTS and First Aid

Proven experience delivering refurbishment projects

Must be confident managing trades, health & safety, and client relations

Able to handle challenges and keep the site running smoothly
