Property Paralegal

Our well-established client is seeking to recruit an experienced property Paralegal who is diligent, self-motivated and a fast learner. The successful candidate will be working directly with Partners and other qualified staff.

They will ideally have a minimum of 1 years’ experience working in a similar role and be able to hit the ground running with variety of property matters.

They must have technical knowledge commensurate to their level of experience as well as a pro-active approach to risk management, a willingness to learn and a good knowledge of property transactions. Client care is a priority to the firm, and the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate when they have gone over and above to provide a top-quality service to the client.

They will be keen to progress and grow within the department. Relevant professional training will be provided and career development opportunities available to the right candidate.

We are seeking someone for the long term so ideally someone who is pre LPC or Pre SQE1

Essential skills

  • Educated to degree level
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Able to work on own initiative as well as part of a team
  • Be able to demonstrate confidence and self-motivation
  • Able to work to strict deadlines and in a pressurised environment
  • Attention to detail is essential
  • IT literate
  • Be able to demonstrate a willingness to learn and to progress

Essential Experience

  • Commercial property
  • Drafting AP1s and Stamp duty returns
  • Utilising Land Registry Portal
  • Using search provider such as InfoTrack to order searches
  • Preparing financial statements and completion statements

Desirable skills

  • Residential property
  • Preparing CPSEs and replies to enquiries
  • Title review, raising enquiries
  • Preparing reports on title
  • Drafting Leases, licences and ancillary documents
