SRS Partnership are currently looking for a Fabrication Manager for their client based in Kilmarnock where you will undertake the management of the day-to-day operations within an accredited Welding & Fabrication Facility.

The company are a leader in their field who specialise in providing Mechanical & Electrical Engineering Solutions within the water industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, planning, coordination, and execution of steelwork projects from enquiry to completion.
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure on-time delivery within budget constraints.
  • Liaise with internal Project Managers, Clients, Engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure project requirements are met and expectations are exceeded.
  • Oversee the procurement of materials and subcontractor services, negotiating contracts and agreements as required.
  • Monitor progress, resolve issues, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation to BS EN 1090 and EN ISO 3834.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, implementing strategies to minimize disruptions and delays.

Experience Required
  • Proven Manager in the construction industry, with a focus on steel fabrication and installation.
  • Have a strong understanding of steelwork processes, techniques, and regulations.
  • Possess excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Effective communication and negotiation abilities, with a customer-focused approach.
  • Experienced Responsible Welding Coordinator (RWC).
  • Strong man management skills including effective team leadership, conflict resolution and performance management.
Ideally we are looking for someone who has their DOMS/National Water Hygiene Certification along with a valid CSCS Card.
