I am looking for a Bookkeeper with a comprehensive understanding of the full accounts cycle and proficiency in Sage 50 Accounts. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up HR and Accounts systems, managing payroll, and handling all aspects of financial reporting and compliance. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can work independently and provide support to two directors.

Day to Day of the Role:
  • Take sole charge of the complete accounts cycle using Sage 50 Accounts.
  • Set up and manage HR and Accounts systems, including in-house payroll and budgets.
  • Raise multicurrency invoices for projects and send monthly statements; manage credit control.
  • Handle supplier payments, set up direct debits, email remittances, and post credit card receipts.
  • Conduct monthly Bacs, payroll, pension, CIS, and VAT runs.
  • Reconcile various bank accounts, PayPal, and other financial portals; update in-house CRM.
  • Prepare budgeting, cash flow forecasts, project reports, and month-end journals.
  • Provide financial analysis and project reports to the director and team.
  • Support with year-end accounts, liaise with external accountant, HMRC, and handle all finance-related inquiries.
  • Manage contracts, ensure general compliance, and perform support duties for the directors.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in financial management and accounting.
  • Proficiency in Sage 50 Accounts and strong understanding of financial software.
  • Ability to manage full accounts cycle and payroll in-house.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience in producing financial reports and liaising with external parties such as accountants and HMRC.

This role is fully office based Monday to Friday so please ensure you are within an easy commute of Kingston upon Thames.
