Our well-established client is looking to recruit a legal assistant to provide support to their busy litigation team.
responsibilities.
- You will provide legal and administrative support to our litigation team
- Assisting in the management of a mixed caseload of litigation matters including civil litigation, debt recovery, property litigation, personal injury and clinical negligence.
- Legal research and note taking
- Proof reading letters and documents
- Preparing first drafts of letters, litigation forms and documents
- Preparing e-bundles
- Liaising with clients, counsel and the court
- Liaising with clients in person, by telephone and correspondence, taking enquiries, making appointments
- Managing client files and ensuring they are up-to-date and accurate
- Providing general administrative support to the team
skills and experience required.
- A minimum of six months of experience as a litigation paralegal
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Highly motivated, proactive individual with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work efficiently under pressure
- Proactive and able to use initiative to solve problems
- Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills and have an excellent telephone manner
- Experience of case management systems and digital dictation
- A genuine interest in litigation and a desire to develop your skills in this area
