Production Manager

Permanent – Full Time

Our client is a well-established manufacturer, based in the heart of Kingswinford. This business boasts over 30 years in business, and they pride themselves on not only offering an outstanding service to their customers, but also in believing that an excellent customer journey starts with well looked after employees.

Due to internal promotion and growth, an excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Production Manager to join the team on a permanent, full-time basis. The role is to lead and manage the day-to-day production processes and activities within a busy Production Department. Reporting to the Production Director the successful candidate will be responsible for meeting daily production targets, whilst maintaining the highest levels of quality.

To be successful in this role candidates must have outstanding leadership skills and experience in delivering improvement projects with a quality 'right first time' mindset.

Duties will include –

  • Monitor quality, safety, and overall standards across the whole of production.
  • Liaise with purchasing and stores departments daily regarding parts/kits.
  • Liaise with sales department daily regarding customer delivery dates and scheduling of current/future orders.
  • Ensure the operation of production systems & processes aligns with our ISO9001 Quality Management System.
  • Responsible for all people management including absence, appraisals, disciplinaries, training and development.
  • Assist in the management of inventory, WIP and finished goods in line with optimal levels.

We are keen to speak with Production Managers with the following skills:

  • Experienced in running a diverse electronics manufacturing environment would be ideal.
  • Managing a team of 30+ skilled shop floor operatives is advantageous.
  • The ability to successfully tackle/deal with staffing issues when and where they arise.
  • Candidates who are constantly seeking to train and develop staff to increase and deepen their knowledge and skills when needed.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Good electronic component knowledge.
  • Results driven with experience driving KPI’s.
  • IT literate, with strong competency using Microsoft Excel, etc.
