Design Draughtsperson

Operating strategically positioned manufacturing plants and efficient national distribution, their dedication to customer satisfaction and ongoing product development establishes them as an industry trailblazer.The roleAs a Design Draughtsperson at their Knottingley site. Reporting to the Group Production Director, you'll play a crucial role in their Engineering Design team. Ideal candidates, holding an HNC or equivalent with 2+ years' experience, will excel in 3D/2D Autocad, producing detailed engineering drawings, and contributing to innovative automated plant designs.Design Draughtsperson will take responsibility for:

• Generate 3D and 2D CAD drawings for existing equipment.
• Provide engineering drawings and specifications for manufacturing and assembly.
• Apply principles of hydraulics, pneumatics, and drive systems, considering all associated components.
• Develop conceptual designs for automated production plant equipment.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, design management, and project management, to ensure alignment with project goals.

• Previous experience with AutoCAD.
• Proficiency in working with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing standards.
• 2+ Mechanical Design Engineer in an Engineering/Manufacturing setting.

• Experience in a wide variety of Conveyor, Process Equipment or Mechanical handling projects.
