Your new companyYour new firm is a well-established, privately owned accountancy practice that provides a range of services to clients across various sectors. They are looking for an experienced and qualified Audit Manager to join their team in Lancaster and lead their audit engagements.

Your new role

  • Managing a portfolio of clients from both commercial and not-for-profit sectors, reporting to Directors and Partners
  • Ensuring assignments are in accordance with the firm's procedures and confirming arrangements with the client and other internal departments.
  • Always ensure quality assurance and compliance with the firm's procedures.
  • Brief and oversee staff on assignments, providing on the job training as required, liaising with senior client staff to ensure the assignment is completed as per the agreed terms.

What you'll need to succeed

  • A professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA
  • At least five years of audit experience, preferably in a practice environment
  • Excellent knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS and auditing standards
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
