Are you an experienced Vehicle Technician & MOT Tester looking for a new opportunity? A Main Dealer in Lancaster is currently hiring for this role!

Position: Vehicle Technician & MOT Tester

Location: Lancaster
Hours: 39 hours per week
Schedule: 4-day working week on a rotating basis, with the day off changing weekly
Salary: 30,000 to 35,000 per annum, plus Bonuses & Overtime

Requirements:

  1. Qualifications: Must hold a valid MOT Tester License (Class 4 and 7).
  2. Experience: Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician and MOT Tester, preferably within a Main Dealer environment.
  3. Skills: Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing vehicle faults, including electrical and mechanical issues.
  4. Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of vehicle systems and components.
  5. Communication: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  6. Team Player: Ability to work effectively as part of a team and collaborate with colleagues.
  7. Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate diagnosis and repair.
  8. Customer Service: Commitment to providing exceptional customer service and maintaining high standards of professionalism.

Responsibilities:

  1. Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections, to ensure vehicles are in optimal condition.
  2. Diagnosis and Repair: Identify vehicle faults using diagnostic equipment and repair them efficiently and effectively.
  3. MOT Testing: Conduct MOT tests in accordance with DVSA regulations, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  4. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of work performed, including service and repair history.
  5. Quality Assurance: Ensure all work is carried out to the highest standards of quality and safety.
  6. Customer Interaction: Interact with customers to discuss vehicle issues, provide recommendations, and address concerns.
  7. Team Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues to coordinate workflow and assist with complex repairs.
  8. Adherence to Procedures: Follow company policies and procedures, including health and safety guidelines, at all times.
  9. Continued Learning: Stay updated on industry developments and technological advancements to enhance skills and knowledge.
  10. Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and workload demands in a fast-paced environment.
