Manpower is recruiting an Electrical Maintenance Technician with our client who are a UK wide manufacturer of products and materials to the construction sector.

This could be the perfect role for an experienced Maintenance Technician looking away from 12 hour shifts and keeping your weekends free.

Working Monday to Friday days, there is future potential of a weekly rotation of early and lates, 6am - 2.30pm and 2pm - 10.30pm.

You'll be joining the existing maintenance team to ensure production machinery operates efficiently, following preventative maintenance plans and resolving breakdowns.

Suitable candidates will need electrical experience in similar industrial maintenance settings.

The Role

  • Electrical repairs, servicing, and maintenance on a wide range of production plant and machinery to the highest standard with work requests and pre-determine specifications
  • Carry out preventative maintenance tasks and record accurately
  • Fault finding, testing and the removal or adjustment of existing fittings, fixtures, and parts
  • Assist the engineering team to ensure that adequate stock levels are maintained for spare part lists and ensure that all necessary records are completed accurately.
  • Work closely with Production to prioritise daily workload and plant maintenance
  • Respond to breakdowns with urgency to minimise downtime
  • Contribute to long term engineering excellence and quality standards

What we are looking for

  • Qualified Level 3 or HNC/ HND Engineering or Electrical discipline
  • Proven maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, controls & automation, inverter drives, HMI, PLC's
  • Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems
  • Fault finding experience on automated machinery
