Do you Love Cake? Do you want to work within a growing local family business? Then we have the role for you. Due to our continued success, we have an opportunity within our Brand and Marketing team. You will support in the delivery of Brand and Marketing plans to ensure We Love Cake achieves and exceeds its annual targets.  Provide insight reporting to the wider business to identify private label and branded sales opportunities.

We are an established family bakery with a taste for quality, having created delicious products for over 75 years. We produce baked goods for retail and food service. We operate two bakeries: a conventional Bakery and a dedicated Gluten, Wheat and Milk Free Bakery avoiding 12 out of the 14 notifiable allergens.

We specialise in cake and sweet pastry tart products and supply all the major UK retailers with ambient Free From Ranges and a number of the leading Coffee Shop Chains with ambient and frozen ranges. Our unique place means innovation has been key to our business growth and has always been at the heart of our business. Quality Service people are the other main driver for us.

Assistant Brand Manager – The Role:

- Develop and implement strategic brand plans for We Love Cake. The key area of activity is to build penetration for this brand across multiple channels in both the UK and Australia with the potential for new market expansion

- Undertake bi-annual category reviews of the Free From Sweet Bakery category within the leading UK supermarkets

- Issue key reports to the wider business on Private Label and Brand performancee

- Undertake quarterly category reviews of the Coffee Chain and retail environment

- Work with internal commercial and development teams to shape future brand product and category launches

- Develop packaging and design concepts for products and ensure consistency across all product ranges

- Support Key Account Managers in the preparation of business presentations

- Support the Social Media manager to increase the reach of We Love Cake against key KPI’s

- Plan and activate key branded campaigns and events

Assistant Brand Manager – You:

- Working in sales or marketing ideal but not essential

- Good IT Skills across Microsoft Suite

- Ability to run and analyse reports from various data platforms: Nielsen. Kantar etc

- Business or marketing degree desirable but not essential

-  Must have the right to work in the UK
